David Lee Zeller, 57, of Evansville, passed away at 6:40pm, Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital Emergency Room after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Dave was born March 1, 1959, in Evansville, IN, to Charles “Chuck” D. and Betty (Jourdan) Zeller. Dave was a proud graduate of the Class of ’78 at Reitz High School. He was co-owner of Master Tire & Accessories; and Zeller’s Master Tire. Dave was a member of the Reitz R-Men’s Club, the Knights of St. John at St. Wendell, the Evansville Athletic Club, Riverbend and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He was also a team member of the Go3 Racing Team.
David was an avid golfer and loved to be out on the water fishing or hosting family movie nights on the big screen. He was a huge supporter of the University of Evansville men’s basketball team and the Reitz athletic programs. He is survived by his fiancé, Christa D. Kingsbury, daughter, Casie Zeller, mother, Betty Zeller, sisters, Becky (Tony) Thacker, Kathy Russell, and Laura (Rich) Rust, brothers Bryan (Jodi) Zeller and Jim (Tracy) Zeller and two granddaughters, Leslie and Mackenzie Stephens, all of Evansville. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, an aunt and uncle, cousins, and a huge circle of friends and co-workers, whom he loved so dearly. Family and friends meant everything to David.
