​David Lee Zeller, 57, of Evansville, passed away at 6:40pm, Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital Emergency Room after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Dave was born March 1, 1959, in Evansville, IN, to Charles “Chuck” D. and Betty (Jourdan) Zeller. Dave was a proud graduate of the Class of ’78 at Reitz High School. He was co-owner of Master Tire & Accessories; and Zeller’s Master Tire. Dave was a member of the Reitz R-Men’s Club, the Knights of St. John at St. Wendell, the Evansville Athletic Club, Riverbend and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He was also a team member of the Go3 Racing Team.

David was an avid golfer and loved to be out on the water fishing or hosting family movie nights on the big screen. He was a huge supporter of the University of Evansville men’s basketball team and the Reitz athletic programs. He is survived by his fiancé, Christa D. Kingsbury, daughter, Casie Zeller, mother, Betty Zeller, sisters, Becky (Tony) Thacker, Kathy Russell, and Laura (Rich) Rust, brothers Bryan (Jodi) Zeller and Jim (Tracy) Zeller and two granddaughters, Leslie and Mackenzie Stephens, all of Evansville. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, an aunt and uncle, cousins, and a huge circle of friends and co-workers, whom he loved so dearly. Family and friends meant everything to David.

​Thomas L. Sternberg, age 70, of Jasper, Ind., passed away at 10:38 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at his home.

Tom was born in Jasper, Ind., on April 11, 1946, to Albert “Jack” and Dorothy (Gunselman) Sternberg. He married Patricia Schwenk on January 24, 1970, in Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.

Tom was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany. He was an owner of Sternberg Automotive Group, headquartered in Jasper, Ind., with affiliates in Louisville, Evansville, Bloomington and Dale.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper and their Holy Name men’s sodality. He was a member of the Jasper Knights of Columbus and the Jasper Kiwanis.  He enjoyed golf, playing sheephead, bowling, pickleball, going to the grandkids sporting events and of course, selling cars.

Surviving are wife, Pat Sternberg, of Jasper, Ind.; two sons, Derek Sternberg and wife, Vicki, of Jasper, Ind., and Curtis Sternberg and wife Nancy, Jasper, Ind.; five grandchildren, Dillon, Madison, Kiersten, Kyle and Andrew Sternberg; one brother, Steve Sternberg and wife, Grace, of Louisville, Ky.; stepmother, Carol Sternberg, of Bloomington, Ind.; nieces and nephews.

​Steven (Steve) Ralph Goldsberry, 71, of Henderson passed away on December 10, 2016 at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, IN. He was born on May 15, 1945 to Ralph Eugene and Stella (Clary) Goldsberry. Steve retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers Lock and Dam Division with 36 years federal service time. He was a member of the American Legion Worsham Post #40, a Vietnam Navy Veteran, and member of the Christian Church in Georgetown, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his mother and father in law: Tom and Dorothy Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Margaret Alexander Goldsberry; 2 sons: Mike S. Goldsberry (Christi) of Evansville, and David S. Goldsberry of Oakland, CA; 1 brother: Tommy E. Goldsberry of Milton, FL; 2 sisters: Dean Bobo of Henderson and Nancy Farley of Newburgh, IN; and 6 grandchildren: Alleigh, Dillion, Steven, Harrison, Torrance, and Lilah.

Melda “Juanita” (Spanner) Baggett, 66, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home. Juanita was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on March 25, 1950 to the late Joseph Vincent, Sr. and Janie Lee (Hodskins) Spanner. She worked as a waitress and was a member of Oakhill Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Juanita enjoyed arranging flowers, crafts, and loved Elvis Presley.

Juanita was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Aaron; a sister, Mary Jane Spanner; and her parents.

Anna Cronin, 58, of Carmi, passed away at 11:26 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Carmi on December 24, 1957 the daughter of Harry and Anna (Littleton) Hankins. Anna married Kenny Cronin on April 20, 1990. She had worked in Home Health at Addus Healthcare. Anna was a member at Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a 1975 graduate of Carmi Community High School. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Anthony Stephens for his care.

Anna is survived by her husband of 26 years, Kenny Cronin; a son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Sarah Cronin of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Sandy Arnold of Bismarck, IL and Teresa Murray of Rantoul, IL; a grandson, Jack Cronin, and a granddaughter, Charlotte Cronin due in November.

​Louis Carroll, age 84, of Evansville, Ind., passed away on Friday August 5, 2016, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 28, 1932, to Louis and Aleen (Carr) Carroll Sr.

Louis was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and previously a member of Emanuel. He graduated from Reitz High School, in 1950, where he was senior class president and member of F.F.A. He went on to graduate from Purdue where he received both a bachelors and a master’s degree, graduating with honors. While at Purdue, he was a member of A.T.O .Fraternity and a cheerleader–always a loyal Boiler Maker fan until the very end. He was a member of Farm Bureau, R-Men’s Club and faithfully attended his weekly Men’s Bible Study at Concordia.Louis was a longtime Union township farmer most of his life. Although, he did spend his early years working for Hahn Equipment in sales. He proudly served his country as a member of the Coast Guard. His biggest hobby was gardening where he was always ready to compete for the biggest tomato in a local TV show competition and prided himself in a weedless garden.

Surviving Louis is his wife of 60 years Kay (Williams) Carroll, (whom he affectionately referred to as Cricket); three daughters, Rhonda (Stephen) Dest. of Georgetown, Texas, Jody (Rick) Kissel and Sandy (Jack) Danks; and, son in-law, Kevin Bryant, all of Evansville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Darrin and Stephenie Dest, Lindsey (Brandon) Boots, Andrew (Jodi) Kissel, Zakary Kissel, Kourtney (Traye) Mattingly, Erik Bryant, Erica (Nathan) Hazel, Jordan (Kyle) Leffel, Kelsey (Joe) Walz and Jack Danks. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.

Gwen Lee Williams, 72, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at her home.  She was born December 7, 1943, to the late Lawrence and Gwendolyn Parton. Gwen worked as a medical receptionist before retiring, in 2009, from Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. She previously worked for Dr.’s Faul and Hitchcock. Gwen enjoyed working in her flower garden, vacationing at the beach and was a loyal U.K. Wildcats basketball fan. She especially loved spending time with her family. She was a Christian.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Paul Williams; daughters, Renee (Dirk) English and Leann Metzger (Tony Keil), both of Evansville; son, Jason (Amy) Williams, of Newburgh; grandchildren, Cole and Laurin Riley, Coltin Metzger, Austin and Kiersten Williams; and three great-grandchildren.

​Mary Ann (Watson) Bagby, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital.

Mary Ann was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 10, 1924 to the late Joseph A. and Catherine (Ryan) Watson. She graduated from Central High School in 1942. Her selfless devotion was to family, friends, and anyone in need. Mary Ann had a servants heart and a giving spirit. The best sermon is a good example and our mother lived it. She exemplified The Golden Rule. Everyone that knew her loved her. She was the epitome of hospitality, generosity, and thoughtfulness. Mary Ann and her husband, Osborne would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 30, 2016. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

​Sandra Jean Chase, 69, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at her home. She was born March 18, 1947, in Evansville, to the late Charles Louis and Wilma Jean (Davis) Pfisterer.

She was a 1965, graduate of North High School and received her R.N. degree from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. She was a devoted nurse at Deaconess Hospital from 1968 to 1997, and the VA Clinic from 1997 to 2014. Sandi loved Christmas, her family and friends (especially her three grandchildren), nursing, scrapbooking, crafts and watching sporting events. She was a person who got great personal satisfaction by serving others. Sandra is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill Chase; children, Andrea (Buddy) Hales and Todd (Sarah) Chase; grandchildren, Chase Hales and Ella and Sam Chase; sister, Deborah (Ed) Freije; niece, Kerri (Eric) Cox; nephew, Ed (Jody) Freije; and five great-nieces and nephews.

​Geraldine “Jerry” Jeanette Britt, 86, of Evansville, Ind., passed away at 1:26 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 20, 1929, in Evansville.

​

She was a loving, caring woman who always put others before herself. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Reading was her passion and she enjoyed her frequent visits to the library. She also enjoyed flowers, crafts, and attending events involving her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Britt; son, Robert Britt, Jr.; daughters, Sharon Russell (Gary), Linda Forshee, and Patti Manley (Mickey); eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Chemo Buddy Jan Sisson passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on June 18.

Jan was born December 10, 1954 to Elmo and Margaret Ann (Winiger) Jones. She attended school in Mt. Vernon, IN and Carmi, IL where she graduated in 1973. She attended South Eastern Illinois College and obtained her LPN license. She worked several years at Med-Co Nursing Home and retired from General Electric in 2007.

Jan married Bob Sisson in 2003 who survives her. Surviving are children Chris (Cari), Todd, Suzanna (Jon) And stepchildren, Bryan (Elizabeth), Devin (Jilana) and Wendy (Jeff). She will be missed greatly by her 12 grandchildren whom she cherished. Also left to remember her memory are her mother Anna Jones, sisters, Arrinda, Katrina, Tammy, Angela, brother Jim and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her fellow Chemo Buddies who grieve her deeply.

Welcoming her into Heaven were her parents, brother and sister in law, Hughie and Rita Jones and brother in law, Charlie Gibbs.

Jan was a walking miracle as a 9 year non small cell lung cancer survivor and loved her time volunteering in the treatment room helping others navigate their cancer journey. he was intimately aware of what chemo patients went through and made it her mission to make people laugh. Jan wanted all cancer patients to know that, “there is ALWAYS hope.” She was honored by the Courier and Press as a 2015 Health Care Hero.

Jan worked tirelessly behind the scenes as the “#1 Chemo Buddy,” helping in every way possible. She did many administrative tasks, and personally made every single goody bag, and tied every single blanket. There is no way to describe how much she will be missed. Our hearts are broken. Until we meet again sweet Jan… <3

Ronald “Ron” Shaffer, 77, lost his battle with liver cancer on Saturday, June 4, 2016. With family by his side, he passed away in a hospice facility at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Nica Sines Shaffer, father Clifton Shaffer, and stepdaughter, Shelby Lilya.

Ron is survived by his wife Rita Nine Shaffer of Union City, TN, daughter Tracey (David) McConnell of Newburgh, IN, stepdaughter Kim (Scott) Dorton of Kingsport, TN, Brother Bill (Pat) Shaffer, nephews Brian Shaffer, Randy Shaffer, Billy Shaffer of Cumberland, Maryland and one grandson Kade McConnell.

Ron was a 1956 graduate of Fort Hill High School. A football scholarship sent him to the University of Maryland where he graduated with a degree in engineering. Upon graduation, Ron enrolled as a reservist in the United States Marine Corps. He then began working as an industrial engineer at the Kelly Springfield Tire Co in Cumberland, MD. Twenty-four years later, he moved to Union City, TN where he continued his career at the Goodyear Tire Co.

In his retirement, Ron was a member of the Master Gardener Club in Union City, TN. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in his garden, woodworking, and reading. He was also an avid blood donor. Ron was a well respected man who always made himself available to those in need. He was a strong and humble man. Knowing him was an honor. He will be greatly missed.

​Bonnie Jean (Pritchett) York, 67, of Evansville, was called home Thursday, June 9, 2016. She passed surrounded by family. She was born August 4, 1948, in Evansville, Ind., to the late Bryant and Mary (West) Pritchett.

She worked over 40 years as a pharmacy technician. She began her career at Cannon Drug Store on Franklin St. She also worked at Great Scot Pharmacy, Francis Pharmacy, Physician’s Center Pharmacy, Buy Low Pharmacy and ended her career at CVS. She was a member of both St. Paul’s UCC and Crossroads Christian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working outside, plays and traveling. She had visited all seven continents. Bonnie never met a stranger and formed many lasting friendships with both her co-workers and customers. She will always be remembered for her sweet smile and kind heart. Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (West); father, Bryant; and infant brother, Bryant Jeffery.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Gary Tanner) Daub; son, Scott (Leigh Ann) York; grandchildren, Mallory (Zach) Newhouse, Brock (Jessica Yaser) Minton, Lily, Nathan, Meredith and Holden York; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Oliver Newhouse; godchild, Ashley Kasinger; best friend of 60 years, Suzanne Kasinger; special friend, Bill Word; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

​Timothy O. Steiner, 61, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a long hard battle with cancer. He was born to William H. and Virginia R. Steiner on June 2, 1954.

Tim was a 1972 graduate of Reitz High School and went on to study Geology at Indiana University, Bloomington and Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in January, 1977. Upon his graduation he was fortunate to begin his career under Marlin F. Krieg at Oilfield Research, in Evansville, as a Petroleum Geologist. In 1978, Oilfield Research under Tim’s management expanded its service to coal sampling and analysis. As the Coalfield Research division grew, it was sold to Core Laboratories in 1983, and finally again in 1990 to Standard Laboratories where Tim was proud to manage the Mid-American Division under the ownership of Troy Stallard. After managing the laboratories and field services for over 31 years, Tim retired in 2012 due to health reasons. During the last years of his life, Tim had the pleasure of working as a consulting geologist for Sunrise Coal Company.

Tim was an avid sports fan and followed Reitz High School, Indiana University (where he played college baseball in 1972-73) and the Atlanta Braves. His proudest moments in sports were watching his daughters, Kelly and Amy, and son, Michael, during their sporting events as they were growing up. Tim loved the outdoors and grew up hunting and fishing with his father Bill, grandfather, Ollie Steiner, brothers, Billy, Scott, and Chris, and his son, Michael. Tim was proud to be the director of Friends of Footes Pond Land Trust and Sunrise at Kickapoo Marsh Land Trust in Gibson County, Indiana. He also enjoyed time at home on the west side with his wife, Shirley, while working in his pole barn, harvesting apples from the orchard, or fishing in their lake with the grandkids and his mother, Virginia.Tim was preceded in death by his father, William H. Steiner; brother, Scott Steiner; and daughter, Andrea Sandefur.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Buckels) Steiner; mother, Virginia Steiner; daughters, Kelly Koester (Brent) and Amy McCullough (Joe); son, Michael Steiner (Julia); daughter, Jennifer Walker (TJ.); grandchildren, Kaleb and Marissa Walker, Nolan Sandefur, Conner Johnson, Cole Koester, Mason Steiner, and Reagan McCullough; brothers Billy Steiner (Linda) and Chris Steiner (Robin); sisters-in-law, Linda Stuckey (Bob), Diane Samford (Syd) and Cindy Davis and Cindy Steiner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

​Steven K. Sorrels, 47, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born February 10, 1969, to Mary Sorrels and the late James Sorrels.

Steven graduated from Bosse High School in 1987, and worked for Toyota for the past 17 years in paint maintenance. He was a member of the Assembly of Faith Church and the NRA. Steven was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed target shooting, hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family. Steven is survived by his wife of 28 years, Connie Sorrels, of Evansville; daughters, Tiffany Wright (Andrew), of Newburgh, Stephanie True (David), of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and Brittany Cameron (Dillon), of Boonville; grandchildren, Jenna Wright, Amber Wright, Noah Cameron and Kaydence True; mother, Mary Sorrels, of Evansville; brothers, David Sweeny, Troy Sweeny (Karen), both of Evansville, and Lewis Sweeny (Maria), of Corydon, Ky.; sister, Gwen Weightman (Doug), of Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Theodore “Ted” Albert Cameron, 71, of Ashley, Ill., passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Ted was born in Ashley, Ill., on March 8, 1945, to the late Albert and Rhea Cameron. Ted graduated from Ashley High School in 1963, and Lockyear College in 1965. He had been a dedicated runner, cyclist, employee, husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. Ted loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his church family at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.

Ted is survived by his loving wife, Judith (Klausmeier) Cameron; sister, Carol Biser (Ed); daughter, Kristin Ehmen (Jonathan); grandchildren, Grace, Lucy and Parker Ehmen; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Rhea Cameron; sister, Betty Jane; and granddaughter, Jesse Faith Ehmen.

Barry Wayne Murch, 50 of Henderson, passed away May 6, 2016 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born on September 8, 1965 to Terry Murch and Jolean (Varble) Darnell. He was an avid hunter and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling and trips to the beach with his wife and baby girls. He loved his family, co-workers, prayer warriors, and most importantly, the Lord.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his” Pa”, Uriah Varble. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Amy Murch; his two daughters, Jessica “Bubbles” Murch and Sara Beth “Biscuit” Murch. His mother, Jolean Darnell and his Step-Father, Darrell. One brother, Jeff “Jip” Murch, grandmother Margaret “Maw Maw” Varble; mother-in-law, Melba “Nannie” Ligon ; numerous family members and prayer warriors.

​Lori (Burks) Molinet, 53, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Deaconess Hopsital. She was born on October 2, 1962 in Miami, Florida to the late Richard and Marjorie (Pedersen) Burks.

She graduated from North Posey High School and USI where she earned a degree in Accounting/ Information Technology. She worked in Human Resources for many years and attended the Howell United Methodist Church. Lori enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating and cherished her time travelling especially on cruises. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Landon.  Lori is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kenny Molinet, sons; Mike Molinet (Miranda) and Matt Molinet both of Evansville, grandson, Landon Molinet, sister, Vicki Dawdy (JD) of Franklin, IL brother, Rick Burks (Tracy) of New Harmony, brother-in-law, David Molinet (Karen Dunn) of Evansville, nieces and nephews; Tommy Koss, Jeremy Koss, Chris Koss, Jennifer Kolley, Shawn Burks, Kevin Molinet and Heather Molinet.

Gary S. Fals, age 62, of Equality, IL passed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family, after a 10 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. During his illness, he stated “I am the lucky one, because I can prepare for Our Lord and enjoy every single day.”  He would awake early in the morning to watch the sun rise enjoying the creation God has given all of us.

Gary was born on April 12, 1953 in Eldorado, IL to John S. Fals and Marjorie (McCormick) Fals.  Gary attended and graduated grade school at St. Mary’ Catholic school in Eldorado, High School in Eldorado and received a Bachelors Degree in Ag from SIU.  He was married to Rita (McGrew) Fals the love of his life on Feb. 11, 1977.  Gary was a farmer most of his life.  He loved the water, boating, camping and the outdoors.  He spent past years at the river, the landing and the Kentucky campsite.  He enjoyed hunting, but most being around his friends and family.  Gary always had a positive attitude and a smile for you. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Ridgway where he was a Past Grand Knight.  Gary was a member of the St.Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother and son and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Rita (McGrew) Fals of Equality, 1 daughter, Ashley (Greg) Webster of Colorado, 1 son, J.W. (Jennifer) Fals of Equality.  1 grandson, his greatest joy, John Luke Fals, his mother Marjorie (McCormick) Fals who died 13 hours after Gary.  1 sister, Julia Wargel of Ridgway, 1 brother, Bill (Connie) Fals of Ridgway.  He is also preceded in death by his father, John S. Fals and a brother Robert Michael Fals.

Jane Anne Gaunt passed away peacefully on March 17, 2016, in Evansville, Indiana. Born on November 15, 1945 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Gretchen Hopman and Burmond Gaunt, Jane grew up in Dunkirk, Indiana.

​

Every year her family spent summers on Magician Lake in Michigan where Jane swam, water skied, and played flashlight tag with friends. She graduated from Purdue University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, earned a Master’s in Education from the University of Evansville, and completed the License Program for School Administration at Indiana State University. Hundreds of Indiana elementary children learned to read and write from her. She was an avid traveler, and loved playing golf and bridge, excelling in both. In December 2015, Jane was presented with a Golden Age Master certificate by the Evansville Duplicate Bridge Club. For twenty years, Jane cared for her mother Gretchen—sacrificing her time and energy in this companionate service. Jane’s contagious laughter and optimism will be missed.

Jane is survived by her brother, David (LaRene) Gaunt of Sandy, Utah; and sister, Lorraine (Mike) Dorough of McDonough, Georgia; and her nieces and nephews: Angela Gaunt, Dennis (Natalie) Gaunt, and Lisa (Tracy) Mangum, all of Utah. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda (Steven) Hammonds of San Antonio, Texas.

Nyeda Carol Foster Helfert Ditzer, 70, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016. She was born August 25, 1945, in Millersburg, IN, to the late Ora Carl and Marietta Foster.

She worked as a 911 Dispatcher and Supervisor for the City of Henderson. Nyeda enjoyed sewing, crocheting and traveling with her kids. She was an avid genealogist in her retirement.

Nyeda was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Albert Helfert; and brother, Gary Foster.

She is survived by sons, Donald Helfert (Karen) of Avon, IN, Darrin Helfert (Audra) of Folsomville, IN, Richard Helfert (Jennifer) of Newburgh, IN, Ken “K.B.” Helfert (Tricia) of Folsomville, IN; daughters, Nyeda West (Andy) of Boonville, IN, Veronica Boland (Billy) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Alicia, Randy, Andrea, Ryan, Shelby, Ian, Jordan, Evan, Kaitlyn, Allison, William, and Raegan; brothers, Clayton Foster (Ellen Barnett), Leslie Foster (Sharon), Daniel Foster (Shannon), Chet Foster (Jayme); sister, Doris Wright, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

​Kristine Madden, 56, of Santa Claus, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Santa Claus. Kristine was born September 9, 1959 to Joe and Violet (Dugas) Partridge in Phoenix, AR. Kristine was employed at Holiday World and was a School Bus Driver for North Spencer School District. Kristine loved spending time with her family and being a Grandma to Wren and Willow. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Mike) Satterfield of Santa Claus; her son, Torrin Madden of Santa Claus; two grandchildren, Wren and Willow Satterfield; one brother, Mike (Donna) Partridge of Chandler and one sister, Debra (Jon) Alvey of Chrisney. Kristine was preceded in death by both parents.

John W. Campbell, 75, passed away on Wed. January 27, 2016 at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.

John William Campbell was born to Cletis and Francis Campbell (deceased) on September 12, 1940 in Bowman, IN. John married Suzanne Meeks on September 10, 1960. During his life, he worked as a farmer, mechanic and coalminer. John was employed during his career by John Deere, Sensmeier Trucking, Peabody Mine, Wright Mine, Ayrshire Mine, and Beech Coal, retiring in 2002 from Sycamore Mine. John enjoyed hunting, antique tractors, his family and friends.

John was a lifetime member of Threshman’s Antique Steam & Gas Engine Club, and member of the Sons of The Tennyson Legion Post #463.

John is survived by his wife Sue to whom he was married 55 plus years, children Mary (Benny) Crow of Odon, Terry (Jimmie) Campbell, Sherry (Gus) Vaal, and Jerry Campbell all of Boonville, ten grandchildren; Mark, Julie, Harry, Renee, Katie, Geri, Amy, Jake, Brooke & Tori, twelve great grandchildren: Chase, Dayton, Remi, Baylee, Morgan, McKaela, Lynley, Charles, Jacob, Corbin, Brooklynn, Alexis and Colton John on the way. He is also survived by two sisters, Fay (Parvin) Carpenter of Boonville and Peggy Aldridge of Newburgh. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10am Saturday, Jan. 30 at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Friday and Saturday 9am until service time at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest at Skelton Cemetery in Tennyson, IN.

Shannon Y. McDaniel, 78, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN. Shannon was a member of First Christian Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #3418 and American Legion Auxiliary Post #200.She retired from Warrick Judicial Center. Shannon was a loving & caring Mother and Grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Marjorie Julian and her husband Wilford McDaniel.
