​Kenny Parker Jr.

Kenny Parker Jr., 48, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, at his home in Fort Branch. He was born May 27, 1964, in Princeton.


Kenny lived in Fort Branch his entire life. He was a supervisor for O’Neal Steel in Evansville, where he worked for 16 years. He was an avid Bass fisherman and a member of Bass Boat Central. He attended Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton.


Kenny is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dee Parker, of Fort Branch; a son, Jeremy Parker, of Fort Branch and his fiancée, Lacie Meny, of Haubstadt; mother, Donna Parker, of Fort Branch; sister, Mistie Heiken, of Johnson; brother, Ty Parker, of Fort Branch; niece, Jamie Parker; nephew, Brandon Kiesel; and a great-niece, Lilly Kiesel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Parker Sr. on Feb. 13, 2008.
Dennis Paul

Dennis R. Paul, age 57 of Carmi, died Tuesday morning November 6, 2012 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born September 7, 1955 in Carmi, the son of Kenneth and Emma Lee (Cherry) Paul. He married Tina M. Stokes on April 2, 1976 in Carmi and she survives.


Dennis retired after 22 years from Amax Coal Company in Kingsburg. He later worked at G.E. Sabic in Mt. Vernon, Ind. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the Enfield Masonic Lodge and attended Carmi New Beginning Church of God. Dennis liked to fish, but mostly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, helping with their sports and just going to the playground and spending time with them outdoors.


He is survived by his wife, Tina; one son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Ashely Paul of Carmi; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Ryan Hoskins of Bowling Green, Ky.; two grandchildren, Alley Marvel Kristine Paul and Gabriel Keith Hoskins; his father, Kenneth of Carmi; two sisters and brother-in-law, Kimberly Hall of Evansville, Ind. and Crystal and Dana Wargel of Ridgway.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lee, and one brother, Carl Paul.
Lynda Stonestreet

Lynda Fay (Walton) Stonestreet, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012, at her residence.


Lynda was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on September 5, 1949, to the late Robert Alton Walton Sr. and Audrey May (Howard) Walton. Lynda worked as an manager for Bonanza Steak House for 22 years. She was a member of GWRRA Chapter IN-O. Lynda and her husband, Mike loved to take long motorcycle trips on their Honda Gold Wing. She also enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching.


Lynda is survived by her husband of 43 years, V. Michael “Mike” Stonestreet, of Evansville, Ind.; daughter, Sharon (Mike) Daugherty, of Evansville, Ind.; son, Vernon M. “Stoney” Stonestreet Jr. and his fiance, Andrea Franks, of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Barbara Ann Franks, of Evansville, Ind.; brother, Kenneth David Walton, of Greenville, Ky.; grandchildren, Justin Gray, Staci Gray, Dale Daugherty, Brittany Daugherty, Katelynne Daugherty, Nicole Stonestreet, Ashley Franks, Hunter Stonestreet and Brooke Franks.

Lynda is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Alton Walton Jr.; and daughter-in-law, C. JoAnn Stonestreet.
Karen Wilhite Williams
Karen is the inspiration behind Chemo Buddies.
Karen Rene Wilhite Williams, 53, of Evansville, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at her home. Karen’s main passion in life were her children, Jeremy and Danielle. They have been a strong family of love and care. She has been a source of strength and a light to many friends and people as she battled her disease with determination, and grace.

Her message to those who knew her was the peace she felt with God and that she was embraced in his love and felt no fear.

Karen was an account manager for 15 years for South Central Media (WIKY). She was a graduate of the University of Evansville with a degree in Marketing. She was involved with “Water for People” for several years to raise funds to supply clean water for countries in need.

Karen is the inspiration for the Chemo Buddies program. She always had friends and family with her during chemo and her heart broke for others who were in chemo and seemed to have no one. As she looked around the chemo room, she said, “We’ve got to do something, no one should ever have to go through chemo alone.” Together with her sister, she co-wrote the proposal for what is now Chemo Buddies, while sitting in the treatment room getting her chemo. Her caring and nurturing spirit lives on through the volunteers who now serve.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Danielle Williams of Evansville and her son, Jeremy Jones of Tampa, Florida. Also surviving are her parents, Vernie and Jerry Wilhite and (sister) Jill and Johnny Kincaid of Evansville.
